Right at the start, he murders two waitresses after eating in their diner, and things don’t exactly improve from there. Rooker’s title character, Henry, is a nomadic drifter – with complete lack of remorse – who travels the USA butchering scores of men, women and children. Michael Rooker stars in John McNaughton’s 1986 crime/horror flick Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer.

He killed numerous people – including police officers and hospital staff – to enact his evil scheme and lure Detective Castellanos (the player character) into his nightmarish mindscape. Ruvik dedicated his life to studying the human psyche, and developed the STEM system to create a horrific physical realm out of his own fractured mind. He eventually escaped and killed both of his parents, becoming the villainous Ruvik in the process. After being disfigured in a fire, Ruben was kept in a basement by his father. Ruvik – real name Ruben Victoriano – is the killer at the core of The Evil Within, Bethesda’s ‘grizzled detective versus supernatural forces’ videogame (the sequel to which was announced at E3). Nothing else has been said about the DNA and whether any of the samples overlap or any matches were found, so the case remains open to this day.It makes sense to start here, given that this is what kicked us off. Nothing came of these claims though, but in June of 2018, the Virginia State Police contacted the victims’ families saying that they had potential DNA from 3 of the 4 crime scenes. Criticism quickly arose, and Spingola was criticized and put under suspicion of covering up the crimes because many thought he was the real killer. After visiting the crime scenes, Spingola claims that the crimes were committed by multiple different killers rather than one killer slaying all four couples. A retired homicide detective, Steve Spingola, was requested to help the families of the victims. One of the main theories was that the killer was either a police officer or posed as one to deceive the victims. After enough time passing for their bodies to start decomposing, there were no signs of robbery or sexual assault. Each couple and their car were found alongside Colonial Parkway in Virginia. Only the bodies of three couples were ever found, and the fourth couple was also presumed dead. There is very little evidence though for investigators to go off of, which is why there are limited suspects and never enough evidence to convict anyone.įour couples were attacked and killed in the late 1980’s.

There are theories that the killer has ties to law enforcement, whether he worked in it or had connections and which is how the killer avoided detection.

There have been a few suspects but with a lack of evidence against any of them, no one has ever been arrested for these killings. Dumping their bodies on the beaches, where they usually weren’t found for at least a week or so, getting rid of evidence if there ever was any. It is believed he has killed up to 16 people, along the Ocean Parkway beaches in Long Island, New York for over a span of 20 years. After meeting up with them, he would raped and murder his victims. Killing at least 10 women, the Long Island Killer, also known as the Craigslist Ripper, targeted female sex workers, who advertised their services on Craigslist. Allen died in 1992 though, so we will never really know who the Zodiac Killer is, and the cases still remain open in most cities in California to this day. These facts don’t bother Starliper though, as he believes Allen was forcing his handwriting to look different form the way he normally wrote. Allen was a suspect, but passed a polygraph test and a handwriting expert told investigators that Allen’s handwriting was “similar, but not the Zodiac killer’s”. After a lot of work he thinks he figured it out, in which the letter names the Zodiac Killer as Leigh Allen.

After hearing about the school teacher and his wife who cracked the first one, he figured why couldn’t he. But in 2011, a Zodiac Killer obsessed young man, Corey Starliper, thinks he cracked one of the codes. The second cipher was a little different, appearing to be a similar cipher as the first, experts and amateurs alike have been stumped for decades and it still has yet to be solved. About a week later, a school teacher and his wife contacted one of the newspapers saying they had solved it. As for the letters, and their cryptic and haunting messages, the first was sent in three parts and mailed to two newspapers in San Francisco and one in Vallejo nearby, demanding that they be printed or the sender would go on a “kill rampage”.
